Talk about leaving it late!! Phew!!
Andre Ayew. Always rated him....
What a night eh! Eleven reserves and a bench of kids apart from Mulder and somebody called Andre Ayew. Not much of a crowd really although there were crowds queueing outside before kick off. Our reserves were lethargic most of the time though Declan John tried his best with Routs trying to get some movement up front. Surridge and McKay gave the impression that winning the ball was not allowed disappointingly. No one seemed to want to do the control thing as the game got quite tedious though ex Swan Cornell made some good saves for the Cobblers.
The away team scored a scrappy goal that Nordfelt might have done better with perhaps and the crowd started calling for that Ayew guy....He came on and scored early doors. Byers with a second and Ayew with the third. A new hero? He at least looked interested. A word for Jordan Garrick who was not afraid to run at defenders when he came on....
All in all a win in the end and Cambridge home next round. Wembley here we come?
Home to Cambridge next round
Scum v Luton
Newport v WHU
What is it with Andre's Jumping ability? For a short bastard he can jump like hell; to outjump a keeper? I miss some of those headers of his.
Bought me tickets for the forest game EL5. Who’s goin?
Me if you mean the home game or if you mean April next year then I hope my ongoing physical inability to smile let alone walk very far will have cleared up
Nah home September - Doin the memory wall that day too Matthew, then out for a curry in town with the family in the evening. Should be a good weekend.
From what I saw of those highlights... does Routledge have "Ayew is a f-cking twat" written all over his face and mannerisms?
