As the pundits say when the third round of the FA Cup comes round it’s a distraction from the rigours of the league...I suppose it can be said of this game against the Cobblers. We have had 2 league games and a plethora of friendlies after all.....
As far as I know we have never played them in this cup. Interesting with the number of years we have been playing in the cup over 50 years albeit not very successfully it must be said though we won it just 5 or 6 years ago. I would expect SC to rest some of our first teamers and give other fringe youngsters a run out. Ayew perhaps among others. Hope we win this just to keep the unbeaten record going. Confidence breeds more confidence or so it seems.
If you haven’t made your mind up about going to the game do make the effort if possible you can always record Holby City. I am.
An easy win for the Swans....

Doubt Andre Ayew will be playing against the Cobblers...seems that he is going back to Marseille if the rumours are right. If that is true the wishes of Trevor Birch to clear the expensive deadwood off the shelves is nearing fruition apart from Mr Montero.

    Montero has gone mun !
Season long loan to Birmingham , we've seen the last of him in a Swans shirt.
Only high earner to clear after Ayew is Borja ,who it seems we are now happy to keep .

If we can get rid of Ayew then that's Birch's remit done. I'm well happy to keep Baston for this season.

Just bought my ticket and looking forward to the game . I don't think Cooper will change too much , Routledge back in and maybe Wilmot for a run out but after listening to his post match interview on Saturday I expect there'll be murders if we don't win

Same here , the stories about Bastons lack of commitment seem to be a falsehood , every time I've seen him play he seems to be thoroughly enjoying himself

Wouldn't you show a lack of commitment when managed by Bob Bradley?

Baston looks very commited to us this year. Maybe a few shit loan seasons in Spain have woken him up and made him realise how good he has it here. Then again, he never had a chance when he was here. Bought for Guido who was then sacked and with Bobo the Clown in charge no one had a chance.

It does make you think how easy the Club made it for us to be relegated .

Yup from being a model club finishing in 8th to fucking relegated 2 years later. Insane.
