Difficult game tonight although no reason why we can't get something from it .Confidence will be high and Chelsea lost at home 1-0 to Zargreb in the previous round so winner takes all tonight

. . . young Swans must win to progress into knock-outs

It is important we stay focused and deliver a good level of performance."
    Cameron Toshack

Swansea City Under-23s travel to Aldershot today to face Chelsea in their final Group D game in the Premier League International Cup (7.05pm).
The young Swans are currently unbeaten in the competition with a 2-0 victory over Feyenoord in October and a 0-0 draw against Dinamo Zagreb a month later leaving the side second in the table.
The competitions format sees only two from six runner-up teams progress to the quarter finals meaning the development squad must win to have any chance to advance.
“It will be a tough challenge but one we are looking forward to,” Under-23s coach Cameron Toshack said.
“We can go into the game with confidence and in a positive mind-set to get the result we need to progress.

    Good Cop

Good luck to the lads, I'm sure they will do us proud, unlike the first 11. :)

As mentioned by someone in another thread; it should be interesting to see if any of the promising youngsters are left out of this tonight with a possibility of playing boxing day in the first team.

Either way good luck to the lads tonight! We know they'll give it their all for 90 minutes.

Chelsea looking dangerous attacking our right Reid in particular who for me looks muscle bound which doesn't help his speed.

Defensively we've looked overwhelmed and second best ,unless we get it sorted both in the midfield then expect more of the same . Not an easy game to watch (Chelsea TV ) which is being filmed with some Dad's cam corder that or the operator doesn't know how to zoom in :D Spoilt I suppose after watching Sky

I'm struggling to see the ball over the far side or near the goals.

A good substation by Toshack to us won by James scored by Botti , strange decision but a welcome one. A clumsy challenge by the defender but James stayed on his feet and got his shot in .

Owain Jones missed an open goal after a great break out off defence , cracking ball across the face of the goal which deserved better .

The game is more evenly matched , our goal has affected Chelsea's confidence so maybe this could be our night against a good Chelsea side

Buffering steam isn't helping my viewing pleasure , but little of note to report except a goal for Chelsea ruled off side .All subs made so make or break with extra time and penalties if it remains 1-1

Great run and cross by Daniel James, could do with him in the seniors.
