Name: Cente Stand Clock
Age: Mid 40's but still feel and act 21
Where you are from: Swansea born and bred but now live in Ingerland
How long have you been supporting the Swans? 32 years
What was your first Swans game? Swans V Brighton 1983 we lost 3-1
Why did you start supporting the Swans? The WFA were giving away free kids tickets for Wales V Norway at the Vetch so a load of us went from school and decided to go to the Brighton game a week or so after.
What is your most memorable Swans moment? Valencia away sitting there 3-0 up with some of my best friends who I've known for over 30 years up ( and thinking about departed friends who would never have believed it in a million years R.I.P ) drinking a bottle of wine we smuggled in watching the sun set over the Valencia mountains (closest I've come to getting emotional at any Swans game by far)
Best game you've seen at the Vetch/Liberty? 1999 Vetch field West Ham in the F.A Cup The atmosphere was unreal everyone knew we would win and seeing Hartsons whole game go to pot when the whole of the North Bank started singing to him "Hartson Hartson Hartson you're a Jack" I'm sure he had tears in his eyes!
Best goal you’ve seen at the Vetch/Liberty? 1991 Vetch field we beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Jimmy Gilligan's 25 yarder hitting the top corner of the net.
What is your favourite away ground, and why? Got to be CCFC's Ninian Park a horrible dirty old school ground like the Vetch going there pre bubble trips in the mid 1980's and 1990's the whole day from getting up in the morning to going back to bed that night was a massive buzz, whether people like it or not hooliganism was just as big as the football back then or even bigger.Turning up at Cardiff Central hours before kick off or seeing Ninian Park from the window of a coach, in those days it was like being a 6 yr old full of E numbers you didn't just feel the atmosphere you could see it on the faces of the Cardiff fans they hated you but had never seen you before in their lives! Walking out after the game to a wall of hate and running the gauntlet back to the railway station terrinfyingly great...A strange thing football (never been to CCFC Legoland)
Your greatest sacrifice to watch the Swans? Finished with an Ex girl friend up North in the 1990's and then drove that day to watch SCFC V CCFC (never spoke to her or seen her again), Also Cutting a holiday short to go to Valencia I flew from to Valencia while my misus and the in laws stayed on holiday.
Your typical pre-match ritual? Haven't been to The Liberty much since the Premiership due to work and living 200 miles away, but used to be The Queens & The Garabaldi, you could hear the players come out of the tunnel while outside the pub and still be in the North Bank before kick off.
Who is your favourite Swans player of all time, and why? Paul Raynor he was crap but the North Bank loved him and he loved the North Bank.
Favourite current player? Shelvey loads of potential but he lets himself down, hope he matures as time goes on.
Favourite Swans kit from over the years? Yellow away ACTION top, simply because some English fella see me wearing this in Corfu in 1994 and called me a "Scottish wanker"
If you could sign one player for the club, who would it be? Realistically I would like to see Sinclair back.
Your most disappointing moment watching the Swans? My first away trip Sheffield Wednesday 1984 in the snow we lost 6-1 I thought fuck this for a laugh I'm not supporting these anymore.
If you had one pasty to throw, who would you throw it at, and why?
Martinez we pulled out of the depths of Chester City and took a punt on him to be part of the dream and manage us, he left us half way through the dream to go to Wigan FFS!! Didn't he say something like SCFC would have to kick him out of the club Luckly for him we done alright.... The man is a Judas I also feel Monk is of same ilk
