Match Analysis - Leicester City 2-0 Swansea City

  1. Not done a detailed Match Analysis for a while now, wasn't going to bother with this forgetful match but it provided some interested tactical debate seeing as we'll be without Taylor and Gomis again at Newcastle on Saturday.

Swansea City - Match Analysis: Leicester City 2-0 Swansea City

There was a lack of balance in the side and the diamond just didn't work as it relies on wide support from the full backs but Amat was all too often out of position - forming a back 3. Without wide support, it meant our play was far too narrow and it was until we switched to 4231 that we looked like we might get a point.

Leicester's constant pressure and intensity caused us all sorts of problems though and we never coped as we looked like we were playing in a pre-season friendly, while Leicester treated it like a Cup final.
